Public Information Requests

Requests for Public Information must be made in writing and should contain as much information as possible about the information you are requesting in order to expedite a response.  Please remember that requests should be for documents or other information that already exists.  Government organizations (like NBPD) are not required to answer questions, perform legal research, or comply with continuing requests to supply information on a periodic basis since that information has not yet been prepared.  Written requests can be sent in by U.S. Mail, submitted online, or submitted in person at the New Braunfels Police Department Headquarters (550 Landa Street New Braunfels TX 78130).  We recommend that you keep a copy of your request and proof of receipt for your personal records.

A convenient Public Information Request Form is available to help you provide the needed information.

Download and complete the form and then submit it in person at the Police Department (550 Landa Street) or by email:  Submit a Public Information Request by email

***PLEASE NOTE: Due to some technical difficulties, Open Records Requests cannot be submitted by fax.  WE are working on this issue and hope to have it resolved soon.  In the meantime, please either submit your requests in person or by email using the information above.  Thank you for your patience!***
