The purpose of this project is to create a park vision plan for City owned property along the Guadalupe River, near River Acres Park. In recent years, the City has purchased several properties due to flooding issues. The solicited input will guide a consultant team in drafting a park vision plan document. A conceptual site plan will be developed to guide future improvements for the City owned properties, River Acres Park and the adjacent area. The vision plan is intended to guide City policy and park improvements for years to come.
In June, City Council approved a contract with Freese and Nichols for the development of a Master Plan. A public input meeting was held on Wednesday, August 10th, followed by an online survey. Public input received was used to develop a vision plan for the properties. The vision plan was reviewed at a public input meeting held on Tuesday, December 13th.
The next public input meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 18th at 6:30 p.m. at Landa Haus, located at 360 Aquatic Circle.
