Variance Application Process
A pre-application conference with the Planning Department before the application deadline is strongly encouraged.
Applicant must submit a completed application to the Planning Department no later than the application deadline.
Planning Department mails notices to the applicant and to property owners within 200 feet of the property at least 10 days before the public hearing.
The applicant will obtain notification signs from the Planning Department and post them on the property at least 15 days before the public hearing.
Applications must include the following:
A detailed site plan, drawn to scale, on paper no larger than 11 inches by 17 inches
A letter of authorization from the property owner if the applicant does not own the property.
The applicant should verify that the request does not violate any deed restrictions associated with the property.
