The City of New Braunfels receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. This program serves low-to-moderate-income residents and neighborhoods.
In order to receive these funds, the City must develop a Fair Housing Plan for
the City of New Braunfels. Fair Housing is defined as non-discriminationin housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial
status, and disability.
“As part of this study, we are asking members of the community for their inputon possible problems and potential solutions to affirmatively further fair
housing in our community by completing our Fair Housing Survey,” said MicheleValadez, the City’s Grants Coordinator. “This input is greatly needed to
provide a clear picture of the situation within our community, which will inturn assist our staff in developing a plan to improve equal and fair housing
choice for all residents.”
The survey is available, through the end of February, on-line in English at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NBFHPEnglish,and in Spanish at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NBFHPSpanish. Answers will
be kept confidential. For additional information, contact Ms. Valadez at (830)221-4081, or email@example.com.
