For many, spending and saving are an unavoidable part of daily life. And for those who have been searching for a way to add strategy to that process, the library is hosting a financial program that could be an aide along the journey:
“Simplify Your Spending & Saving Strategies,” which will be held Saturday, March 16th, at 1:00 p.m. in the library, located at 700 E. Common St.
Edward Jones representative Rachel Ackerson will lead the seminar.
“Learning about finances can be stressful, especially on your own,” said Adult Services Librarian Jodi Brown. “Rachel Ackerman has graciously offered her expertise to help take away some of this stress and assist our community members in becoming more financially aware. Giving up an hour of your free time on a Saturday is well worth the valuable information you’ll find in this program.”
The seminar will last about 40 minutes, and participants will learn about setting personal financial goals; balancing saving, spending and borrowing to achieve goals; strategies for controlling debt and improving credit scores; and practical savings options for now through retirement.
This program is free and open to the public. For more information about this or other library programs, call 830-221-4300 or visit www.nbtexas.org/library.
