Adults seeking a change or a start to a new career or needing help with a tricky school subject are invited to stop by the New Braunfels Public Library, located at 700 E. Common St., on Sat., April 27th, between 10AM and 1PM for an Adult Job & Homework
“Libraries are places of lifelong learning, and it is our mission to provide resources to our community members who are trying to navigate the deep waters of education and employment,” said Adult Services Librarian Jodi Brown. “So many adults juggle work, school, job searching, etc. This program is a jumping-off point for future adult services.”
Library staff and volunteers will be available to assist with — and answer questions about — job applications, resumes, interview tips, library resources, homework, paper writing and study tips.
The library also offers a Job Help program on the second Monday of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., on the third Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon and on the fourth Friday of the month at the Westside Community Center from 10 a.m. to noon. Job Help is free and open to the public; no appointment is necessary.
