Due to the construction closure of the San Antonio Street Bridge, the Comal County Fair Parade will take a different route in 2019 by utilizing S. Seguin Avenue. Comal County Fair officials and City of New Braunfels staff worked together to outline the
2019 route for the Friday, September 27th parade, pending final approval by TxDOT.
Staging for the parade will be along W. Nacogdoches Street (from S. Guenther Avenue to S. Seguin Avenue) and on S. Seguin Avenue from W. Nacogdoches Street to Hampe Street. The parade will officially begin at 10:00 a.m. from the Hampe Street intersection and proceed northwest until its conclusion at the intersection of Bridge Street, just prior to the Landa Street railway underpass.
To facilitate the parade, the following intersections on Seguin Avenue will be closed beginning at 8:00 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade: E. Faust Street, Hampe Street, Elm Street, Jahn Street, Butcher Street, Garden Street, Coll Street, Mill Street, and Bridge Street.
Additionally, the intersection of Zink Street/Landa Street, W. San Antonio Street/Castell Avenue and E. San Antonio Street/Comal Avenue, E. Nacogdoches/S. Seguin and the 100 block of W. Nacogdoches will be closed during the parade.
The public is encouraged to plan for delays in the area and to seek alternate routes, if they are not entering the area to view/participate in the parade.
