Citizen Input at City Council Meetings

The New Braunfels City Council will continue its schedule of regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.

“As always, we welcome citizens to speak on agenda items as it shapes the decisions of the City Council,” states Mayor Casteel. “However, to continue to provide a safe environment during the response to the Coronavirus, the City Council agenda has been modified to provide alternative methods for citizen input.”

Usually, there is a portion of the City Council meeting (Agenda Item 2) that allows for any citizen input.  To comply with current federal and state guidelines, in-person Citizens’ Communications during City Council meetings are temporarily suspended.  Therefore, the City has provided three options in place of in-person Citizens’ Communications:

  · Email:

  · Voicemail: 830-221-4299

  · Online:

All emails, voicemails, and messages will be distributed to the City Council prior to City Council meetings.

We encourage citizens to view the City Council meetings online at through our livestreaming service and on the Government Access Channel (U-verse Channel 99, Spectrum Channel 21).  As always, citizens can attend the City Council meetings in person to speak on any specific agenda item, and they can still contact their Councilmember via individual phone calls and emails.
