Icy Weather Conditions Continue to Hamper New Braunfels Utilities’ Offices

Due to persisting extreme winter weather conditions, the New Braunfels Utilities’ (NBU) offices and drive-through will be closed on Friday, February 19, 2021.

The main NBU Customer Service phone line, 830.629.8400, will open at noon on Friday to take customer calls.  The delayed start time is due to potential road closures and connectivity issues.  We ask in advance that customers be patient as there may be considerable hold times.  Our electric and water operations crews are working around the clock to restore system-wide water issues, including the Boil Water Notice, which we issued yesterday evening.

Customers can make payments via the following convenient options:

  1. Online at nbutexas.com.
  2. Pay-by-Phone, 844.863.7360.
  3. Western Union Convenience Pay Service at HEB Grocery Stores throughout
Comal County, or Arlan’s Market and Ace Cash Express, in New Braunfels.
  4. NBU Night Drop, located at 263 Main Plaza, just off of the drive-through.

Customers needing to report a water outage or service issue may complete an online form at nbutexas.com/winter-storm-resources. The Texting Outage Notification System is an added convenience that allows customers enrolled in the program to report outages and receive notifications about outages in their area by text message. To enroll, text NBU to 85700 or visit: https://www.nbutexas.com/report-an-outage. To take advantage of this service, you must have your mobile number associated with your account.
