May 16, 2018, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ NB Fire Training Classroom A
This training course uses the NHTSA and IACP nationally standardized curriculum and prepares Officers to administer and interpret the results of the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing battery. This course is offered to bridge the gap for officers who attended the Basic Peace Officer Course in Texas prior to January 1st, 2005 when this course was mandated to be included in all Texas BPOCs. Our goal is to ensure all Officers receive this important training, in an effort to reduce alcohol-related crashes, injuries, and deaths by promoting DWI deterrence and enforcement proficiency. Wet labs with “live” drinkers will be utilized in this course to give officers “real life” experience and practice in administering SFSTs. This Class is limited to 20 students. Please register through TMPA, www.tmpa.org, or contact Training Coordinator Michael Burton at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (830) 221-4127.
