New Braunfels City Council District 1 Councilmember Shane Hines will host his first citizen forum on Monday, June 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Westside Community Center. The Center is located at 2932 S. IH-35 in New Braunfels.
“I encourage residents to join me for a presentation by Assistant City Manager Bryan Woods on recently completed and currently underway capital improvement projects in the district,” said Councilmember Hines. “This will include information about Das Rec, the New Braunfels Community Center, which is scheduled to open July 21st this summer.”
Woods is also scheduled to address District 1 projects that will potentially be included in the proposed 2019 bond program the City is currently considering and will be available to answer citizen questions.

The New Braunfels Police Department is proud to serve our community through Self-Awareness and Defense Training. This training is offered to female citizens of New Braunfels who are at least 13 years old (minimum age is 13). Training is presented by New Braunfels Police Department Officers certified as specialty instructors through RAD. The training includes lecture, discussion, and self-defense techniques suitable for women of all ages and abilities. Training sessions are Monday through Thursday from 6pm - 9pm and are designed to accommodate work schedules and availability. Remember: You must be able to attend ALL 4 training days to receive a completion certificate.
