Application for Outdoor Events Due to COVID-19

Outdoor events, celebrations and other large outdoor gatherings with estimated attendance of 10 or more, are permissible to hold in Texas in accordance with the Governors orders. (Texas Governor’s Executive Order GA-32) The mayor, as appropriate, in coordination with the local public health authority, must give approval to such an outdoor gathering or event prior to it being held.

Please submit the below online application so it can be reviewed by city staff. The application will need to be submitted at least 10 business days prior to the event, and late applications are subject to not being approved. You may need to reach out to the city departments listed below to visit directly with them if you have any questions before the event is to occur.

Application submittal does not guarantee it will be approved. If local COVID cases counts start to increase all events are subject to immediate denial or revocation of all issued permits based on public health conditions or changes to any applicable orders.

Site Plan:
When attaching a site plan for the event all site plans submitted shall be an aerial view of the property indicating number of tents, dimensions of tents, location of port o potty/ bathrooms, handwashing stations, hand sanitizer stations, music/performance stages, trash receptacles, and food vendors. Hand drawn documents/site plans will not be accepted. If an approved site plan is not submitted at time of application submittal, application will not be reviewed until approved site plan is received. Any delay of required information will delay the review of the application for the event.
