  • The possession or use of personal grills is prohibited in all City parks. Only permanently installed park grills may be used.
  • Pets must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed in Comal Springs or in any waterway throughout Landa Park. Pet leashes can only be extended to a maximum of six feet in length
  • The use of firearms, air-guns, slingshots, bows and arrows, or gigs is prohibited
  • Glass containers are prohibited
  • Volleyball and horseshoes are permitted only in designated areas
  • Reservations are required for all group picnic areas and pavilions
  • Park Rangers will collect a $25.00 user fee for picnics
  • Loud music, excessive noise, and disturbing conduct is not allowed
  • The operating or permitting to be operated of any radio receiving set, tape player, cassette tape player, musical instrument, television, phonograph, drum, loudspeaker or sound-amplifying equipment or other machine or device for the production or reproduction of sound between the hours of 10:00 pm and 8:00 am is prohibited
  • Only free-standing canopies without bottoms are permitted for use
  • It is prohibited to stake anything into the ground
  • Tents and hammocks are prohibited
  • Ground fires are forbidden. All fires must be at least 18 inches above the ground and in approved barbque pits
  • Decorations such as ribbons, balloons, banners, streamers, etc. are allowed at picnic sites as long as they are not hung in trees. Nails or staples are not allowed to secure decorations. No additional signage is allowed to advertise your picnic and you are responsible for total cleanup of picnic areas
  • Due to environmental impact and user conflicts, some sports and recreational activities may be prohibited or limited in some parks
  • Organized sports practices are prohibited in some areas
  • Skateboarding, in-line skating, or roller skating is prohibited on or around historical monuments and the dance slab. Skateboarding, in-line skating, or roller skating is permitted on sidewalks only. Walkers have the right-of-way on multi-purpose trails
  • Alcoholic beverages are only allowed in Landa Park.Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed in park parking lots or within 25 feet of park roadways.
  • Littering is prohibited
  • Advertising, selling of goods, products, or services by authorized park concessionaires only
