2018 Dos Rios Watershed Clean-Up - POSTPONED TO OCT. 13th, 2018!


The Dos Rios Watershed Clean Up Event scheduled for this Saturday, September 15th has been cancelled due to expected inclement weather conditions. The event was slated as a “Rain or Shine” event but the National Weather Service is projecting heavy rainfall and the potential for flash flooding which could create hazardous and unsafe conditions for event volunteers.  

            The event is being rescheduled for Saturday, October 13th. If you are interested in volunteering for the clean-up event on October 13th please sign up using the new event link below. Folks are asked to sign up for the October 13th event even if they were registered for the clean-up event previously scheduled for September 15th


The City of New Braunfels, with the help of local partners, is hosting the 2nd Annual Dos Rios Watershed Clean-Up on Saturday, September 15th from 9am until noon. 

Saturday, October 13th from 9am until noon.

  • Registration will begin at 8:30am.
  • Volunteers will meet at the Comal County Fair Grounds (701 Common St) & will then be transported to individual clean-up locations.
  • The event involves collecting litter from river banks, parks, and contributing watershed areas. 
  • Breakfast, supplies, and t-shirts will be provided to volunteers.

Your help is needed to ensure that our local rivers and creeks are kept in good condition. Remember it is up to all of us to do our part to keep our waterways clean.

Please note: this event was originally scheduled for September 15th, 2018. If you are interested in participating in the October 13th clean-up, please sign up for this event even if you had previously signed up for the September 15th event.

As a way to further our efforts to preserve the integrity of our watersheds, the City of New Braunfels has implemented an Adopt-A-Spot Clean-Up program, to raise public awareness, educate citizens, and generate community involvement by adopting a spot in the watershed to clean.
