The City of New Braunfels is committed to Transparency. As a transparent government, the City provides citizens with access to resources that provide clarity and understanding about finance operations as well as promote accountability across the organization.

As a result of the City's efforts in increasing transparency, the City of New Braunfels has been awarded with the Traditional Finances Transparency Star from the Texas Comptroller. Notice of Intention to Issue Certificates of Obligation 

On July 13th, City Council approved the publication of a notice of intent to issue $17 million in certificates of obligation. For additional information, read the Notice of Intention here.

Expenditures exceeding revenues are driven primarily by the investment (expenditures) of proceeds from bond issuances that occurred in previous years that were classified as Other Financing Sources at that time.

Monthly Financial Reports - Each month finance staff prepares a monthly financial report to the City Council. Those are available here.
