Temporary Food Establishments
A temporary food establishment serves food or drinks at a location during an event or celebration. We permit temporary food establishments that occur for less than 10 consecutive days.
To take part in an event, temporary food establishments must receive a permit issued by our office. Applications are not reviewed if received after 12 PM the day before the event.
Application for a temporary food establishment permit does not guarantee approval. Permit approval requires compliance with health codes and other applicable requirements. For more questions about temporary food establishments, please contact us at 830-221-4070.
Potential food vendors should talk with our office before participating. Permitting is dependent on the product you are wanting to sell. Please call our office to discuss this at 830-221-4070. Potential food vendors that manufacture a food should reach out to us before participating. The following links provide potential vendors with information on acquiring a manufacturing license.
The links below provide information on initiatives to manufacturers and producers.
Restaurant Scores coming soon!
All food establishments receive an unannounced inspection 1 to 3 times per year. The score represents what city staff see at the time of the review. Only the most recent score will be available on this map. Inspection scores can range between 100 to 0 with 100 being a perfect score. Any food establishment receiving a score of less than 70 will automatically receive a reinspection within 10 business days.
