Overview
The City Secretary’s Office provides administrative support to the
boards and commissions with well over 200 participants.
Also, the City Secretary's Office helps thousands of customers annually;
codifies all ordinances adopted by the City Council; catalogs city ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and proclamations; coordinates and processes hundreds of
open record requests annually; posts
meeting agendas for the City Council and the various board and commissions; is liaison to the Partnership Committee, the Arts Commission, and the Heritage Commission; issues various permits relating to cemeteries, alcohol, taxis, river shuttles, specialty parking, and
road closures; oversees the records management program for the City; and performs research of records for the City Council, staff, and the public.
