ORIGINAL RELEASE: The New Braunfels Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing and possibly endangered person. On Oct. 25, 2016, at approximately 2:00am, two male residents left the premises of the River Gardens assisted living facility in New Braunfels (in the 700 block of Rusk St.). An initial search for the pair by NBPD was unsuccessful in locating the individuals.
Later that morning, at approximately 8:00am, one of the men called the facility and gave his location to staff members, indicating that he was just off I-35 South in the city of Schertz. That resident has since been safely returned to the facility. However, the other male resident apparently decided to continue walking south, in the direction of San Antonio.
The missing man has been identified as 25-year old Raymond Kimbrell III of New Braunfels. Kimbrell suffers from mental disabilities and is currently without his medication. He was last seen wearing red plaid swim shorts and a maroon tank top, and he was last seen near Mile Marker 177 in Schertz walking south in the direction of San Antonio.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Raymond Kimbrell should contact their local law enforcement agency. A state-issued ID photo of Kimbrell is attached with this release to aid in the search for the missing man.
