Purpose: To provide updated and improved subdivision plat application forms based on recentcode amendments and to improve timely processing of platting requests.
Scope: The “one size fits all” plat application has been replaced with five (5) new application formsdesigned for the specific subdivision plat types. The new application forms include: Master Plan, Preliminary Plat, Final Plat, Re-Plat, and, Administrative Plat (includes Minor, Amending,Development Plats).
Each application includes the required materials to be submitted with the application request to beaccepted for processing. Staff will check each application submittal at the counter to confirm all required materials are attached. Incomplete, incorrect or late submissions will not be acceptedand will be returned to the applicant.
All subdivision plat application submittals are to be submitted on the new forms beginning withthe January 24, 2018 deadline. The new application forms include the property owner’s signature with an option to designate a representative (applicant). As the deadline for submittal is tomorrow, if the property owner has already signed the old application, or has provided an authorization letter, please attach it to the new application form when submitting.
Summary: The new application forms with tailored checklists will reduce confusion for applicants and ensure the correct information and required materials are included in the submittal packet. Theenforcement of the application completeness check at the counter before accepting anapplication for processing will improve staff efficiency, allowing staff to focus on reviewing applications and providing better customer service.
